Library media specialist presents at regional conference

 

Online Media Specialist and Adjunct Librarian Sarah Romeo presented at the annual conference of Eastern New York Chapter of the Association of College and Research Librarians (ENY/ACRL) earlier this week. Romeo presentation was titled “Supporting OER Sustainability by Educating Faculty on Creative Commons Licensing.”

ENY/ACRL is the regional chapter of the preeminent professional association of academic librarians, a division of the American Library Association. More than 100 librarians and academic library professionals from public and private colleges and universities attend the conference each year. This year’s conference theme was Vision for the Future: Open and Accessible and was a virtual event. Romeo’s presentation was selected through a peer-review process.

Romeo also holds an adjunct faculty position in the English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department, where she teaches ENGL 115 Library Skills for Research.
